The story »behind the game«

As no equipment or materials are needed, it could be played anywhere all year round. In the past, children mostly played it while watching cattle in the fields. This game was also played when children were indecisive about something (e.g. someone had to go somewhere or do something, and then they played the game to decide who will go and do it).

Instructions / rules:

The players are in a circle. They hold out their hands with their palms up. They put their right hand on the left hand of the player standing on their right side. The player who starts the game hits the left hand of the player next to him with his right hand and says the words. Others continue doing the same. On the last word of the rhyme, the last player must move his hand out so he is not hit. If he is hit, he is out of the game. The game continues until there is only one player left.
